Genscape Highlights Local Intern - A Prize Winner in World Renown Economic Forum

At Genscape, we are consistently amazed at the level of talent residing within our intern program.  This year we are thrilled to highlight Cyril Ducatez, Power Market Transparency Intern in Zurich, a first prize recipient at the “Rencontres Économiques d’Aix-en-Provence,” a renowned French event, following an essay he submitted on “Managing Cultural and Linguistic Diversities in Companies and Organizations.”

The Rencontres Économiques d'Aix-en-Provence is the first, and largest, free public economic forum organized by the French think-tank Le Cercle des économistes. The Rencontres Économiques d'Aix-en-Provence brings together researchers, business leaders, CEOs, academics, NGOs, politicians and students for three days of debates and conferences. The goal behind this forum is to examine the future challenges of new policies imposed by the existing global economy. The 2017 edition was about prosperity, entitled “In Search of New Forms of Prosperity”.

Every year, this organization hosts a student essay competition called La Parole aux Etudiants (“Students, speak up!”) which is part of the economic forum and has grown in attendance and recognition since its inception in 2013. 100 students writing the best essays are invited to attend the forum and are asked to contribute to each session. This year, Cyril was one of four students who won the essay competition.

Cyril’s accomplishment affirms our investment in Genscape’s intern program and inspires us to continue these relationships with emerging talent, and additionally, local organizations and initiatives. Cyril’s integration at Genscape was facilitated by his interest in the question of cultural and linguistic diversities, a question particularly in line with Genscape’s working environment: an international company providing insights on global challenges.
